In this proposal, the area is envisioned as a vibrant neighborhood with a lively square shaped by carefully redeveloped industrial buildings, including the iconic ferro dome. Its open plan is used to its full potential by accommodating a large events venue. An additional building, enclosed by a transparent façade reveals its structure and references the context in subtle ways while also creating a lot of flexible use space for office and commercial use.

The project aims to create a central point of activity within M4H Rotterdam. By assigning a dynamic and flexible character to the site we both work on the environmental cause, and reflect our vision. To make this possible, the accessibility should be improved by tackling the situations on different scales, from logistics and routing to small nuances of social nature impacting the community.
